vancouver

Last week, Mike and my dad took a trip up to beautiful Vancouver, Canada!
They were there for a six day investment conference but got to see lots and eat lots!
Enjoy their pictures!

quick lunch of seared tuna...

and barbeque duck sandwiches!

exploring the beautiful Christchurch cathedral!

exploring the city!
the cruise docks...

gondola up to Grouse Mountain!
a must see!

grizzly bears!

chairlift to the very top

water taxi back to the city center

marinated octopus with miso paste

raw tuna, three ways

grilled salmon

mixed seafood noodle salad

Granville Public Market!

fresh wasabi!

exotic teas

build your own vinaigrette station!

i was lusting after that salmon chowder pot pie!

the conference they were attending just happened to be during the famous, international Celebration of Light!

one of the cocktail parties at the conference included "sockeye candy".
why didn't they bring me some home!?!

their last night there was a friday night...when the chinatown night market comes alive!

...he did love it, by the way...
they had an amazing trip (mostly it was actually for the investment conference) but we are already planning when the whole fam can visit!
